Research from the American Association of the Colleges of Nursing (AACN) indicates that higher nursing education leads to better patient outcomes, such as lower mortality rates and increased accuracy in diagnosis.
 
Although the Nursing department does not offer a generic four-year baccalaureate degree in Nursing, it does offer a degree completion program for graduates of Associate degree or Diploma programs who have passed the NCLEX or the licensure examination, are already licensed professional nurses, and wish achieve that higher nursing education through receiving a BSN. This program is administered through Global Learning & Partnerships, and is designed to provide RNs with the opportunity to acquire a highly sought after BSN degree with little interruption to professional or personal obligations. Offered in an online format, the program may be completed on a part-time basis. Our degree prepares you for advancement opportunities in the ever-expanding field of nursing and provides you with the resources you need to enhance your knowledge and career.
 
With six graduate credits included in the curriculum, this program also acts as a stepping stone if you plan to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing degree. As a candidate, you may customize your course of study to meet both the program criteria, as well as your individual needs and interests. This program boasts accreditation from the Collegiate Commission of Nursing Education.
