Nutrition Care Club

The Nutrition Care Clubs objective is to educate all populations, within and outside of the university, about nutrition and wellness by providing information in the form of clear, interactive, and comprehensible activities. Our club provides members with opportunities for professional development in all areas for Nutrition majors specializing in either Dietetics or Exercise Science and to do hands-on work in the field of nutrition and network with other students and professionals. For events, we have educated the Whitney Hall residents about nutrition. In the spring semester we make peanut and jelly sandwiches for the Cathedral kitchen in Camden and have a lot of tabling events throughout the semesters to fundraise for the club as well as nutrition education. For instance, we attend the Health and Wellness Expo where we discuss sugars and how to read foods labels.

We are a Rowan University organization whose goal is to promote healthy living and providing networking opportunities and professional development experience for students in the nutrition and health promotion fields. Members are able to apply their knowledge and specialized skill set of nutrition and health promotion to community and campus events. We also offer mentorship opportunities to assist those applying in the Rowan's Coordinated Program of Nutrition and Dietetics.
