New Jersey Public Health Association- Student Chapter

Public health protects and promotes the health of all community members from vaccinations to natural disasters.  Our Rowan chapter of NJPHA strives to support the many causes of public health.

The organization is new this year and has already hosted Dr. Nwako, President of New Jersey Public Health Association and President of New Jersey Environmental Health Association.  They have also hosted events during National Public Health Week.  The organization will host other opportunities and networking possibilities as we grow.

National Wellness Institue Chapter

The Rowan Chapter of the National Wellness Institute started in 2003 and has been active ever since.  The Chapter is organized by an executive board of 3 – 6 students, who plan meetings, service projects and fundraisers for any Rowan student who wishes to participate.  In addition, the Chapter organizes special events each year.  These have included a University-wide Career and Internship Fair, a one-day Wellness Conference and large-scale fundraising 5K events for groups such as the Wounded Warriors.  Each spring, the Chapter sends 15 – 20 students to a national, professional conference to serve as interns and participate in the conference events.
