Certified Health Education Specialist Exam

Rowan's Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Wellness embeds these competencies in required classes. At the end of thedegree program at Rowan students will be eligible to take the Certified Health Education
Specialist (CHES) exam. Students will meet the requirements specified to take this important
exam.

"The Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) examination is a competency-based tool used to measure possession, application and interpretation of knowledge in the Eight Areas of Responsibility for Health Education Specialists delineated by A Competency Based-Framework for Health Education Specialists."
