"I am very satisfied with the education I received and feel that I was very well prepared. If I could go back and choose any AT program, I would, without a doubt, pick Rowan again!" -- Class 2018 Alumnus
"I am compelled to send this email. I have been the Director of Sports Medicine for 15 years for ATI Physical Therapy. This is the first year we have interviewed students from Rowan University and we have interviewed several. I wanted to reach out as I have to tell you they have been the most prepared and professional candidates we have seen in a very long time. It is refreshing to see a local program graduating athletic trainers that have real work experience, not just watching their preceptors, and students that just “get it”. We have already hired one and I hope to hire a few others. Thank you for believing in our profession!" -- Employer
"As I am finishing up my first semester of Graduate School I wanted to reach out to you to not only greet you but thank you for the strong base I received at RUAT. There are a few points I wanted to provide you feedback on now that I've experienced in my graduate classes and clinical setting. The information you provide us of research methods in Ther Mod and Ther Ex were huge in my preparation for some of my hardest classes this semester. As I spoke to some of my classmates many of them in their undergraduate programs didn't teach them these advanced methods and it was the first time they were learning these terms. It gave me an advantage when dealing with literature reviews, performing studies, etc. I also believe the method of having the seniors go through the IRB and have them set up their on studies was great preparation for graduate school. I would even consider having them start the Fall of senior year. It is a process I was able to fully comprehend as I went thru my Research Methods course in Graduate School. In the clinical setting, now that I have students I can understand some of the preceptors and your frustrations. Your stress on professionalism from the attire we wear to how we conduct ourselves are qualities that have allowed me to stand out. It is something I urge you to continue to install in the students coming thru the program. Another point I wanted to touch on is the preceptors. From what I've been able to experience, the love and passion the RUAT preceptors have in regards to truly teaching their students is something I admire. It is something many programs lack but at RUAT you have in abundance. I want to thank you and the program for the strong base you all provided me with as I continue my education and begin my career. I hope all is well with your family and with the RUAT family. God bless you and Happy Holidays."Alejandro Arenas, Class of 2015
